Side Air Bag: Description and Operation

AIR BAG MODULE (SIDE AIR BAG)

DESCRIPTION

The four Side Airbags (SAB) are installed inside the driver, passenger and rear seat and protects the driver and passenger from danger when side crash occurs. The SRSCM determines deployment of side airbag by using Side Impact Sensor (SIS) signal.

CAUTION: Never attempt to measure the circuit resistance of the airbag module (squib) even if you are using the specified tester. If the circuit resistance is measured with a tester, accidental airbag deployment will result in serious personal injury.
