Installation

FRONT DISC BRAKE
INSTALLATION
1. Install the pad springs to the carrier.





2. Install the pads on each pad spring.

CAUTION:
^ All four pads must be replaced as a complete set.
^ When replacing the brake pads, check for deformation. When replacing the pad spring, use a new one or thoroughly clean the used one.





3. Press-fit the piston with a hammer handle or the special tool (OK130 430 017).
4. Apply the RX-2 grease on the guide rod and boot, and then install the guide rod that is contained the bushing at the lower of carrier.
5. Lower and insert the brake cylinder carefully so as not to damage the boot.





6. Tighten the two guide rod bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque Guide rod bolt: 22 - 32 Nm (220 - 320 kg cm, 16 - 24 ft. lbs.)
7. In case of removing the caliper assembly from the vehicle. Install the brake hose to the caliper.
Tightening torque: 17 - 20 Nm (170 - 200 kg cm, 12 - 14 ft. lbs.)
8. Fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid.





9. Bleed the system.
