Removal and Installation

Removal





1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch.





2. Disconnect the suction hose.





3. Disconnect the high pressure hose.





4. Loosen the mounting bolt.
Remove the lock bolt and disconnect the drive belt.
5. Remove the mounting bolt
6. Remove the power steering pump

Installation





1. Install the power steering oil pump and install the mounting bolt.
2. Connect the drive belt.
3. Connect the high pressure hose.
Tightening torque: 33 - 40 ft. lbs. (44 - 54 Nm, 4.5 - 5.5 kg-m)
4. Tighten the lock bolt.
Tightening torque: 27.5 - 38.4 ft. lbs. (37.24 - 51.94 Nm, 3.8 - 5.3 kg-m)





5. Connect the return hose.

Notice: Verify that the white mark on return hose aligned with the white mark on the return pipe.

6. Adjust the belt deflection by turning the adjusting bolt.
7. Connect the electrical connector from the Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch.
