This bulletin provides information relating to replacement of the Canister Close Valve (CCV) on some 2005MY Sorento, Sedona, Optima and Amanti vehicles within the production range from 9/1/04 through 10/31/04. Some vehicles may experience a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) related to the canister close valve and/or evaporative system. A manufacturing flaw occurred in the housing of the CCV during the indicated production range. Perform a visual inspection of the date coding on the CCV housing if the date is in the indicated range, replace the CCV.
