DTC B1512 Seat Belt Buckle Switch [Driver]-Short or Short to Ground

Circuit Description
This system decides whether the seat belt (driver's and passenger's seat) is locked or not, and so prevents the belt pretensioner on unlocked seat side from deploying on crash.

NOTE:

- SRSCM: Supplemental Restraints System Control Module

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Preparation

3. Disconnect the connector of the SRSCM.

2. Check seat belt buckle switch sensor circuit (Short to ground and battery line).

CHECK: On the BS connector (harness side), measure the voltage and the resistance between BS and body ground.

Resistance: Infinity
Voltage: 0 V

NG: Repair or replace the harness or the connector between the SRSCM and the BS.

OK: Go to step "3".

3. Check the seat belt buckle switch
