Select lever
Disassembly








1. Insert a thin piece of metal into terminal side of connector, then with terminal locking tab pressed down, pull terminal out of connector.
2. Remove two selector lever knob screws then remove selector lever knob.
3. Remove indicator panel.
4. Remove cover.
5. Turn position indicator lamp counterclockwise to remove position indicator lamp from indicator panel.
6. Remove two detent roller assembly screws and remove assist plate, upper spring plate and spring plate.
7. Remove bolt from base plate.
8. Remove two guide plate bolts, then remove guide plate.
9. Remove lock lever and selector lever.
10. Remove two shift lock actuator nuts, then remove shift lock actuator.
11. Remove two park range switch screws from guide plate.
12. Disconnect park range switch connector.

Re-assembly
1. Connect park range switch connector.
2. Tighten two park range switch screws to guide plate.
Tightening torque: 18 - 22 inch lbs. (2.0 - 2.5 Nm, 20.7 - 25.3 kg.cm)
3. Install shift lock actuator to base plate and tighten two shift lock actuator bolts.
Tightening torque: 11 - 16 inch lbs. (1.3 - 1.9 Nm, 13 - 19 kg.cm)
4. Install lock lever and selector lever.
5. Install guide plate to base plate and tighten two guide plate bolts.
6. Tighten bolt to base plate.
Tightening torque: 61 - 86.8 inch lbs. (6.9 - 9.8 Nm, 70 - 100 kg.cm)
7. Apply grease (spec: O-GL02) to inside of roller.
8. Shift selector lever to P range.





9. Loosely install spring plate, upper spring plate and assist plate.





10. Adjust clearance between guide plate and guide pin and tighten two screws.
Tightening torque: 18 - 26 inch lbs. (2.0 - 2.9 Nm, 20.7 - 29.9 kg.cm)
11. Apply grease (spec.: 0-GL02) to inside of guide plate.





12. Apply grease to outside of guide plate.
13. Install position indicator lamp to indicator panel.
14. Install cover.





15. Tighten indicator panel screws in order shown in figure.
Tightening torque: 18 - 26 inch lbs. (2.0 - 2.9 Nm, 20 - 30 kg.cm)
16. Feed O/D switch wires through cover and indicator.
17. Insert O/D switch wire into connector.
18. Tighten two selector lever knob screws.
Tightening torque: 18 - 26 inch lbs. (2.0 - 2.9 Nm, 20 - 30 kg.cm)
19. Verify that selector lever properly aligns with indicator in each range.
