Wheel Sensor

WHEEL SPEED SENSOR (FRONT)





Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.





2. After removing trim, remove the wheel speed sensor and connector in the engine room.

Inspection
1. Measure the resistance of the wheel speed sensor.
Resistance: 1100 ±110 Ohms





2. Replace wheel speed sensor if necessary.

Replacement





1. Install wheel speed sensor and connector.
Tightening torque: 6 - 7 ft. lbs. (8 - 10 Nm, 0.8 - 1.0 kg-m)
2. Install trim.
3. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

Notice: A shield wire is used to prevent interruption of the input signal from the wheel speed sensor. Return the wire to its original position after repair.

WHEEL SPEED SENSOR (REAR)
Removal
1. Disconnect electrical connector.





2. Remove one bolt.

Inspection
1. Measure resistance of the wheel speed sensor.
Resistance: 1100 ±110 Ohms





2. Replace the wheel speed sensor if necessary.

Replacement
1. Install the wheel sensor.
Tightening torque: 6 - 7 ft. lbs. (8 - 10 Nm, 0.8 - 1.0 kg-m)





2. Connect wheel sensor connector
3. Connect battery cable.

Notice: A shield wire is used to prevent interruption of the input signal from the wheel speed sensor. Return the wire to its original position after repair.
