This bulletin provides information related to low ambient hard start in some 2003 and 2004 1.6DOHC Rio models produced between 8/26/03 and 9/4/03. Reprogramming software has been made available for the Hi-Scan Pro for use as a field fix. Use the procedures on the following pages for reprogramming the ECM to improve the cold hard start condition.
