Removal and Installation

SHIFT LEVER
REMOVAL





1. Remove the console upper cover plate.





2. Remove the floor console and armrest panel.
3. Remove the center console cover and console side cover.





4. Remove the shift control cable.





5. Remove the shift lock cable.
6. Remove the harness connector.





7. Remove the select lever assembly.

INSTALLATION





1. Install the select lever assembly with a tightening torque.
Tightening torque: 9 - 14 Nm (90 - 140 kg-cm, 7 - 10 ft. lbs.)





2. Install the shift lock cable.
Tightening torque: 8 - 12 Nm (80 - 120 kg-cm, 6 - 8 ft. lbs.)





3. Install the shift control cable.
4. Install the harness connector.
5. After installing the shift lock cable move the select lever to "P" position, check that the shift lock cable operates with brake pedal depressed.
