Description

Even though keys for the 2004-2006MY and the 2007-2008MY Amanti have the same physical appearance and key code series, they are not interchangeable because they use different immobilizer systems. Consequently, the 2004-2006MY keys can not be programmed for use in the 2007/08MY immobilizer systems. To replace and duplicate all Amanti keys use the procedures contained in this bulletin.

STEP 1: Select the correct key by model year using the table above.





STEP 2: Verify customer is the registered owner of vehicle. Use one of the methods shown above to have key blanks duplicated.

STEP 3: Follow procedures in the Kia Global Diagnostic System (GDS) to program key(s) into the vehicle immobilizer module.
