Parking Brake Warning Switch: Testing and Inspection

Parking brake switch

Parking brake is foot type and parking brake switch is located over the parking brake pedal. To adjust, move the switch mount up or down with the parking brake pedal released all the way.

1. Check that there is continuity between terminal and switch body with the switch ON (Brake pedal is depressed).




2. Check that there is no continuity between terminal and switch body with the switch OFF (Brake pedal is released).
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch or inspect the grounding point.
