Front Stabilizer Bar

Removal
1. Lift front of vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Remove wheel and tire.
3. Remove plastic undercover.
4. Remove stabilizer from control link.
5. Remove stabilizer bracket bolt.





6. Support engine with SST(0K201 170 AA0A), and remove six subframe mounting bolts.
7. Lower the subframe enough to pull the stabilizer out from behind the subframe.
8. Remove stabilizer.

Replacement
1. Align the stabilizer bushing with the clamp on the stabilizer bar. Locate the bushing adjacent to the position line on stabilizer bar.
2. Position stabilizer behind subframe.
3. Raise the subframe into place and tighten six mounting bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque: 69 - 86 ft. lbs. (93 - 117 Nm, 9.5 - 11.9 kg-m)
4. Tighten the two stabilizer bracket bolts.
Tightening torque: 32 - 40 ft. lbs. (43 - 54 Nm, 4.4 - 5.5 kg-m)
5. Install the stabilizer bar to the stabilizer control link.
Tightening torque: 32 - 45 ft. lbs. (43 - 61 Nm, 4.4 - 6.2 kg-m)

Notice:
- Tighten the two control-link nuts to specified torque before lowering vehicle (unload condition).
- Check caster and camber.
