ECM Reprogramming Procedure

1. Remove program card from the upper slot of Hi-Scan Pro and insert the reprogramming card.





2. Connect the OBDII cable to Hi-Scan Pro.

3. Connect Hi-Scan Pro to the OBDII connector located under the dash on drivers side.





4. Turn ignition key to the "ON" position.

5. Turn Hi-Scan Pro on and select "10. OPTIMA 2.5/2.7 BATTERY DRAIN" and press the "ENTER" key.





6. Select "01. MS 2.5/2.7 BATTERY DRAIN [AUTO]" and press the "ENTER" key.





7. At the prompt, enter your password "0525" and press the "ENTER" key.





8. Reprogramming will proceed automatically as shown.





9. When "REPROGRAMMING COMPLETED" message is displayed, turn ignition key to the "OFF" position. Turn Hi-Scan Pro off and disconnect from vehicle.

10. Start engine and verify normal operation.

If reprogramming did not complete properly or was interrupted, repeat process using the following procedure for 01 and 03 model year vehicles. There is no manual mode reprogram for 02 model year, the ECM must be replaced if automatic reprogramming failed.
