Front Bumper: Service and Repair

4 DOOR

Removal




1. Remove radiator grille.
2. Remove left headlight and combination light assembly.




3. Repeat for right side.
4. Remove one nut from top of left side of bumper.




5. Repeat for right side.
6. Remove three fasteners from bottom of left mudguard.
7. Remove two fasteners from left side of under cover.
8. With pulling mudguard, remove one screw from left side of bumper.
9. Repeat for right side.




10. Remove two bolts from left-hand bumper stay.
11. Repeat for right side.
12. Remove front bumper.

Installation
Install front bumper in reverse order of removal.

Tighten bumper mounting bolts to 23 - 28 lb.ft (31 - 39 N.m, 3.2 - 3.9 kg.m)

5 DOOR

Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove cover from radiator grille.
a. Remove twelve fasteners from cover.

3. Remove left headlight and front combination light assembly.
a. Remove three mounting bolts from top of light side.
b. Disconnect electrical connector.




4. Repeat for right side.
5. Remove front bumper assembly.
a. Remove two fasteners from bottom of under cover.




b. Remove two fasteners from bottom of front bumper.




c. Remove four nuts from left side of front bumper. d. Repeat for right side.




e. Disconnect electrical connector from front fog light.
f. Remove two installation bolts from left bumper stay.




g. Repeat for right side.
h. Remove front bumper assembly.
