Antenna Cable: Service and Repair
4 DOORRemoval
1. Remove ashtray.
2. Remove one screw from center panel trim.
3. Pull out center panel trim.
4. Remove two screws from instrument cluster trim.
5. Remove four screws that secure radio to center panel.
6. Remove five connectors from rear of radio.
7. Disconnect antenna cable connector from antenna
8. Remove antenna cable connector from antenna.
9. Pull carpet back toward driver seat.
10. Remove antenna cable.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.
5 DOOR
Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove driver air bag module.
3. Remove steering wheel, turn signal assembly, and upper/lower column covers.
4. Remove boot cover from top of console.
5. Remove center panel.
a. Remove ashtray from center panel.
b. Remove three screws from front side of panel.
c. Disconnect electrical connector from rear of center panel.
6. Remove instrument cluster trim.
a. Remove two screws from instrument cluster trim.
b. Remove instrument cluster trim from mounting space.
c. Disconnect electrical connector from rear of unit.
7. Disconnect antenna cable connector from antenna.
8. Remove antenna cable connector from antenna.
9. Pull carpet back toward driver seat.
10. Remove antenna cable.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.
Tighten antenna mast to 17 - 26 lb.in (2 - 3 N.m, 20 - 30 kg.cm)
Tighten antenna mount to 70 - 104 lb.in (8 - 12 N.m, 80 - 120 kg.cm)
