Windshield Washer Motor: Testing and Inspection

1. Check for continuity between positive terminal and negative terminal using an ohmmeter.




2. Check motor function by connecting it to a 12 V DC source.
3. Visually inspect washer tank for cracks or damage.





1. With the washer motor connected to the washer tank, fill the washer tank with water.
2. Connect battery positive (+) and negative (-) cables to terminals 2 and 1 respectively to see that the washer motor runs and water is pumped.
