Rear
Removal1. Remove parking cable and clip.
2. Remove brake hose connecting bolt from caliper.
3. Clamp rear brake hose.
4. Remove two lock bolts from caliper.
5. Remove caliper from rotor.
6. Remove two V-springs from disc pads.
7. Remove disc pads, shims and guide plates.
8. Remove two bolts from the mounting support.
9. Remove the mounting support from rear wheel spindle.
Inspection
1. Disc pad thickness.
Specified thickness: 0.37 inch (10 mm)
Minimum: 0.079 inch (2 mm)
2. Disc plate.
Runout
Maximum: 0.0039 inch (0.08 mm)
Thickness
Specified thickness: 0.4 inch (10 mm)
Minimum: 0.32 inch (8 mm)
Replacement
1. Position mounting support on rear wheel spindle and install two mounting support bolts.
Tightening torque: 33 - 49 ft. lbs. (45 - 67 Nm, 4.6 - 6.8 kg-m)
2. Insert guide plate in mounting support.
3. Install disc pads and shim out of disc plate, and secure disc pads with V-springs.
4. Turn in brake caliper piston by using SST (0K9A4 263 001) to insert disc pads into brake caliper.
5. Tighten two brake caliper lock bolts.
Tightening torque: 22 - 29 ft. lbs. (29 - 39 Nm, 3.0 - 4.0 kg-m)
6. Connect brake hose with caliper and install connecting bolt.
Tightening torque: 16 - 22 ft. lbs. (22 - 29 Nm, 2.2 - 3.0 kg-m)
7. Install parking cable in clip and caliper.
8. Bleed brakes.
