Rear Turn Signal Light

Exterior Lights:

Combination light assembly (Rear)
Rear combination light assembly is aerodynamically shaped to match the contours of the body. Each lens is has three colors: amber (hazard/turn signal), translucent (backup) and red (tail/brake). Rear combination light assembly contains three bulbs. Two of the bulbs are a single-filament type and are used the in hazard/turn signal and backup light circuits. The third bulb is a dual filament type bulb; one filament functions as the brake light and other as the taillight. A plastic bulb holder mounts three lamps and associated wiring. Bulb holder can be removed from inside vehicle for bulb replacement.

The brake light bulb is turned on/off by the brake light switch located near the brake pedal and is actuated by depressing of brake pedal. Refer to Brake System, for adjustment procedures for the brake (stop) light switch.

The backup light is turned on/off by the backup light switch mounted on the transaxle case. When the transaxle is shifted into reverse gear, the backup light switch closes turning on the backup lights.

The turn signals are controlled by the combination switch located on the steering column. The hazard lights are turned on/off by the switch located on the center panel. The flasher unit which controls the hazard light operation is located under the left side of instrument panel.
