Heater unit

Removal
1. Drain engine coolant, refer to Engine Cooling System.
2. Remove instrument panel. Dashboard / Instrument Panel




3. Remove control cable.




4. Disconnect heater hose from heater unit.




5. Remove heater unit.

Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
a. Apply clean compressor oil to O-rings before connecting fittings.
b. Do not apply compressor oil to fitting nuts.
c. When installing a new blower and evaporator unit, add compressor oil through high-pressure pipe port of compressor.

Compressor oil: 3.05 cu in (50 cc)

Heater control unit

Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove ash tray.
3. Remove center panel trim.
4. Remove instrument cluster trim.
5. Remove grove box.




6. Remove heater control unit.

Installation
Install in reverse of removal.
