Torque Specifications

Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence
a. Tighten cylinder head bolts in order shown.
Tightening Torque: 36.1 ft.lbs (49 Nm, 5 kg-m)
b. Loosen bolts in reverse of order shown.
c. Retighten cylinder head bolts in order shown.
Tightening Torque: 18 ft.lbs. (25 Nm, 2.5 kg-m)
d. Mark cylinder head bolts for rotational reference.
e. Rotate cylinder head bolts 90° (1/4 Turn) in order shown.

Intake Manifold
Torque 11 - 14 ft.lbs.





Camshaft Carrier Bolts
Tightening Torque (In Two Or Three Steps): 8.31 - 10.5 ft. lbs. (11.2 - 14.2 Nm, 1.15 - 1.45 kg-m)





Main Bearing Cap Bolts Tightening Sequence
Tighten bolts order shown
Tightening Torque 40 - 43 ft. lbs. (54 - 59 Nm, 5.5 - 6.0 kg-m)

Connecting Rod Bearing Cap Bolts
Tightening Torque 47 - 51 ft.lbs.

Crankshaft Pulley Bolt
Tightening Torque 79.6 - 86.8 ft.lbs.

Flywheel/Flexplate
Tightening Torque 71 - 76 ft.lbs.

Oil Pump
Tightening Torque 4.3 - 6.5 ft.lbs.

Exhaust Manifold
Tightening Torque 11 - 14 ft.lbs.
