TITLE: TCM Change

SERVICE TIP:

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) software has been revised to reduce incidence of P0740, 734, 733, 732, and 1500 DTCs. The software change was effective from 8/22/00 production.

For in-use complaint vehicles produced prior to this change, replace the TCM. (There is no P/N change, however all TCMs in KMA Parts Distribution Centers have the revised software.)






Use the illustration to identify TCMs with the revised software.

Note: When diagnosing P0740 DTCs, always check A/T shift cable adjustment, and shift cable bushing spacer for damage.
