This bulletin provides information related to a change to the passenger compartment fuse box cover. When pulling the hood release handle, flexing of the lower dash panel could cause the fuse box cover to unlatch.

To correct this condition, the fuse box cover has been redesigned to improve latching retention effective 7/21/00 production.

The redesigned fuse box cover should be used as a field fix on in-use complaint vehicles.

AFFECTED PRODUCTION RANGE:
All Rio models with production dates prior to 7/21/00.
