Air Bleeding Procedure
HYDRAULIC FLUID BLEEDINGThe clutch hydraulic system must be bled to remove air when ever the lines are disconnected.
NOTICE:
a) The fluid in the brake reserve tank must be maintained at the 314 level or higher during air bleeding.
b) Use only the specified fluid type.
c) Be careful not to spill clutch brake fluid onto a painted surface.
1. Raise vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Remove driver side gravel shield from under engine (seven bolts).
3. Remove bleeder screw cap and attach a hose to bleeder screw.
4. Place the other end of hose in a glass container of sufficient capacity.
5. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times.
6. While clutch pedal is depressed, loosen bleeder screw and let fluid and air escape.
7. Close bleeder screw before raising clutch pedal.
8. Repeat steps 5 through 6 until no more air bubbles are in the escaping fluid.
9. Check for correct clutch operation.
10. Install bleeder cap.
11. Install driver side gravel shield under engine. Install and then tighten seven gravel shield bolts.
12. Lower vehicle.
