Reassembly
1. Place the strut in a vise.NOTICE: Use protective plates to cover jaws of vise.
2. Install the lower spring isolator into the spring seat on the part of strut.
3. Compress the coil spring with Special Service Tools (SST) (OK2A1 341 001 or equivalent).
4. Install the coil spring, placing the bottom of coil into the recess of lower seat.
5. Install the dust boot and rebound stopper.
6. Install the upper spring isolator and mounting block, aligning the two studs of the mounting block with the lower bracket of the strut.
7. Install washer and the piston retaining nut then install and tighten slightly.
8. Carefully loosen and remove Special Service Tools (SST) (OK2A1 341 001 or equivalent).
NOTICE: Verify that the coil spring is correctly seated in the mounting block and the lower spring seat.
9. Secure the mounting block in a vise.
10. Tighten the piston retaining nut to specified torque.
Tightening torque: 47 - 59 ft. lbs. (64 - 80 Nm)
11. Install the dust cap over the nut.
