Power Door Lock Switch: Description and Operation

Circuit Operation
The door knob lock switch is located in the driver's door. When the door knob lock switch is locked the driver's door is mechanically locked and a ground signal is send to the electronic time control module "lock" input at C220/4. The electronic time control module will send a 12 V pulse through the YEL/BRN wire at C220/14 while simultaneously grounding the YEL/BLU wire at C220/13. The doors lock. When the door knob lock switch is in the unlocked position the reverse happens. The driver's door is unlocked mechanically and a ground signal is sent to the electronic time control module unlock input at C220/2. The electronic time control module will send a 12 volt pulse through the YEL/BLU wire at C220/13 while grounding the YEL/BRN wire at C220/14. The doors unlock.
