Lubricate
    Locks
      Lubricate all locks and hinges.
Inspect/Adjust
    Idle Speed
      This maintenance is required in all states except California, however Kia recommends that this maintenance be performed on California vehicles also.
Check
    Drum Brake System
      Check system for leakage and proper operation. Check linings for wear and drums for checking, hard spots or scoring.
    Disc Brake System
      Check system for leaks. Check pads and discs for thickness. Inspect system operation.
Inspect
    Suspension
      Check for wear, leakage and damage.
    Steering
      Test steering operation. Check components for wear and leakage.
    Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve
    Ignition Cable
    Fuel Supply Line
      Inspect fuel lines and hoses. Check fittings and components for leaks. This maintenance is recommended by Kia, however it is not necessary for emission warranty coverage or manufacturer recall liability.
    Exhaust System
      Check heat shield, muffler and tubing for corrosion, tightness and leakage.
    Emission Control Systems
      Inspect emission hoses and tubes.
    Drive Belt
      Inspect for cracks or damage. Check belt tension.
    Cooling System
      Check hoses for leaks and deterioration.
    Constant Velocity Joint Boot
      Inspect for leakage and cracking.
    Clutch Pedal Assembly
      Check free-play and pedal height. Check operation.
    Brake Hose/Line
      Check for proper connections. Check for leaks. Check hose condition. Inspect for swelling, damage or leakage.
    Body and Frame
      Check nuts and bolts for tightness. Retighten as necessary.
Replace
    Timing Belt
      Federal vehicles only. For California vehicles, inspect every 60,000 miles and replace at 105,000 miles.
    Spark Plug
      Replace with correct type and gap.
    Oil Filter, Engine
    Fuel Filter
       This maintenance is required in all states except California. However Kia recommends that this maintenance be performed on California vehicles also.
    Fluid - M/T
    Fluid - Differential
      Replace front and rear differential fluid where applicable.
    Engine Oil
    Coolant
      Flush and replace coolant. Check specific gravity for freezing point.
    Air Filter Element
      Extremely dusty conditions may require that the element be cleaned or replaced more often.
