Oil Pressure Warning Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

Circuit Operation
With the ignition switch in ON or START, battery voltage is applied to the low oil pressure indicator in the instrument cluster. The indicator is grounded through the oil pressure switch when oil pressure is less than 4 psi (29 kPa). The indicator bulb illuminates to warn the driver.
