Cruise Control Module: Testing and Inspection

1. Connect the negative lead of a voltmeter to a chassis ground or to pin 10 (BLK) of C228. Connect the positive lead to one of the terminals that has a voltage value listed with it: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Connect the negative lead of a voltmeter to pin 1 (ORG/BLK) of C228 and connect the positive lead to pin 5 (BLU) of C228.
2. Turn ignition switch and/or cruise control main switch to the position indicated under Procedure.
3. If the voltage or resistance measured is not in agreement with the voltage or resistance listed in the table, and the table lists the terminal as an output, then consider the cruise control unit to be defective. If the terminal is listed as an input, then refer to other circuit tests that cover the component to which that terminal is connected.
