Power Door Lock Assembly

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove door trim.
3. Remove one screw on pull handle bracket.
4. Remove pull handle bracket.




5. Remove speaker.
a. Remove three screws on door speaker.
b. Unfasten harness connector from door frame.
c. Pull out speaker and disconnect connector.

6. Remove inside door handle assembly.
a. Remove three screws from inside door handle.
b. Disconnect door lock control rods.
c. Remove inside door handle.

NOTE: Peel plastic moisture barrier oft carefully so that it can be reused.

7. Peel off plastic moisture barrier carefully by pulling it away gradually from door frame.

8. Remove door lock assembly.




a. Disconnect two remote control rods from outside door handle assembly.
b. Remove three screws from door lock assembly and remove assembly from access hole.




c. Remove two mounting nuts from outside door handle.




d. Remove outside door handle.

INSTALLATION

1. Install door lock assembly.
a. Position it as originally positioned through access hole.




b. Install three mounting screws.

Tighten screws to
34-52 lb-in (4-6 N.m, 40-60 kg-cm)

2. Install outside door handle.
a. Connect two control rods of door lock assembly.




b. Install two mounting bolts.

3. Install plastic moisture barrier.
a. Fasten plastic moisture barrier.
b. Pull out electrical harness connector from plastic moisture barrier.
c. Pull out control rod for inside door handle through plastic moisture barrier.

4. Install inside door handle.
a. Connect two control rods of door lock assembly.




b. Install three mounting screws.

Tighten screw to
26-35 lb-in (3-4 N.m, 30-40 kg-cm)

5. Install door speaker with three mounting screws.
6. Install pull handle bracket with two mounting screws.
7. Install door trim.
8. Install inside door handle cover with one mounting screw.
9. Fasten door trim.
10. Install inner weatherstrip.
11. Connect negative battery cable.
