Windows: Testing and Inspection

None of the Power Windows Operate
Preliminary Check: Check condition of P/WIND RH and P/WIND LH fuses. If fuse is open, locate and repair source of overload. Replace fuse. Verify battery voltage (12 V) at P/WIND RH and P/WND LH fuses. If no battery voltage, check battery and fuse box.




Drivers Power Window Does Not Operate
Preliminary Check: Verify that the other windows operate. If they do not, first perform procedure for None of the Power Windows Operate, above.




Automatic Drivers Window Lowering Does Not Operate
Preliminary Check: Verify that the drivers window has normal up and down control. If it does not, first perform procedure for Drivers Power Window Does Not Operate, above.





Master Power Window Switch will not Operate Other Windows
Preliminary Check: Verify that the master power window switch operates drivers window. If it does not, first perform procedure for None of the Power Windows Operate.
