OPERATION INSPECTION

NOTICE: Shift selector lever from P range to other ranges with ignition switch ON and brake pedal depressed.

1. Verify that selector lever can only be shifted as shown in figure.
2. Verify that there is a click at each range when shifted from P <-> 1 range.
3. Verify that positions of selector lever and indicator are aligned.





4. Verify that button returns smoothly when pushed.

ADJUSTMENT
1. Shift selector lever to P range.
2. Loosen two selector cable mounting bolts.
3. Push selector lever against P range and hold it.





4. Tighten selector cable mounting bolts.
Tightening torque: 96.6 - 94.8 inch lbs. (7.9 - 10.7 Nm, 80 - 110 kg.cm)
