Disassembly









1. Rigidly support steering wheel lock portion of column, and then use a chisel to make a groove (screwdriver slot) in head of two steering lock bolts.

NOTICE: Secure column in a vise whose jaws are covered with soft brass or cloth.

2. Hold steering column in a vise and use a screwdriver to remove lock bolts.





3. Remove steering lock assembly.

4. Remove two universal joint pinch bolts from steering column assembly and intermediate shaft.

5. Remove intermediate shaft pinch bolt.
