Fresh/Recirculation Actuator Does Not Operate

Step 1: Check Fuse




1. Check "SR/ACC" fuse.
2. If a fuse is open, check for a short-circuit in wiring harness before replacing fuse.
3. If a fuse is OK, go to Step 2.

Step 2: Check Voltage At Fresh/Recirculation Actuator

1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
2. Set fresh/recirculation (F/R) switch to position indicated.
3. Measure voltage at following pins in fresh/recirculation circuit (do not disconnect connector).








4. If fresh/recirculation actuator does not work after following checks, replace fresh/recirculation actuator.

Step 3: Check Ground At Fresh/Recirculation Switch

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect C282.




3. Use ohmmeter to check continuity between ground and indicated pin of temperature control connector C282.

Step 4: Check Voltage At Fresh/Recirculation Switch

1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
2. Set Fresh/Recirculation (F/R) switch to position indicated.







3. Measure voltage between battery voltage (pin 5 of C282) and following pins of fresh/recirculation switch connector C282.
