Compressor Clutch Does Not Operate
Compressor Clutch Does Not Operate (Condenser Fan Operates Normally)Step 1: Measure Voltage At Compressor Connector
1. Run engine at idle.
2. Turn A/C and blower switches ON.
3. Measure voltage at following terminal wire of compressor connector C114.
Step 2: Measure Voltage At Magnetic Clutch
1. Measure voltage at following terminal wire of magnetic clutch connector C114.
Step 3: Check Magnetic Clutch
1. Disconnect magnetic clutch connector.
2. Check for continuity between magnetic clutch and a body ground.
Step 4: Measure Refrigerant Pressure
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Connect high-pressure hose to manifold gauge to high-pressure gauge fitting.
3. Measure refrigerant pressure at high-pressure side.
High-pressure side:
Above 88 psi (608 kPa)
4. If not as specified, check refrigerant system. Refer to "Step 2: Checking Refrigerant Pressure.
5. If correct, replace cooler pipe No.1. Refer to 'Replacement".
