With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

ABS Diagnosis Connector:

1. With the ignition switch OFF, connect the diagnostic scan tool (Kia pro power scan tool) to the data link connector.





2. Turn the ignition switch ON, then choose the vehicle and model from the diagnostic scan tool.
3. Choose the inspection item after the unit initializes.
4. Press malfunction code detection No. 1 and check if there is a failure.

NOTICE: A malfunction code is a four-digit number which is continuously output until the failure code is erased by the diagnostic scan tool.

4. From the list of failure codes, verify the failed part and repair it according to self-diagnosis procedures.
5. After repair, erase all malfunction codes stored in the ABS control unit by selecting inspection item (No. 4).
