A/C - Evaporator Rumbling Noise

TITLE: Evaporator Noise

SERVICE TIP:

CONDITION

Rumbling noise coming from the evaporator area when the A/C is turned on. This noise is particularly noticeable when the vehicle is at idle.

CAUSE

This condition is caused by expansion valve refrigerant noise.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace expansion valve with newly revised expansion valve (P/N 1K2A1-61-J11). Use new O-rings (P/N 1K2A1-76-461, 1 ea. and 1K2A2-76-461, 3 ea.) when installing valve.
