Manual Steering





1. With the vehicle on a hard level surface, turn the wheels to the straight-ahead position.

NOTICE: Measure after fuming the steering wheel to the left and right 5 times or more.

2. Attach a pull scale to the outermost point of a steering wheel spoke. Then, with the wheels in the straight-ahead position, check the steering effort required to turn the steering wheel to the left or to the right.
3. If the measured effort exceeds specification, check the following: rotation torque of the pinion, rotation torque of each ball joint and seizure of tie-rod ends.
