Removal and Installation





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove in the numbered order shown in the figure.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the trunk lid release cable from the latch, and then release the length of the cable from its retaining clips..
2. Disconnect the wiring harness from both back-up lamps, and then withdraw it from the trunk lid.





3. Remove the four trunk lid installation bolts, and then remove the trunk lid.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.





5. When installing, temporarily tighten the four installation bolts, and then adjust the clearance on all sides before tightening bolts.

Trunk lid latch





1. Remove the latch trim.

2. Remove the two latch installation bolts and then partially withdraw the latch.
3. Disconnect the trunk lid release cable and rod, and then remove the lid latch.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.





Tightening torque:

Trunk lid striker





1. Adjust the engagement of the striker with the lid latch by loosening the two installation bolts.
