DISASSEMBLY
Accumulator Piston

NOTE: Disassemble in the order shown.





Remove the accumulator pistons and springs from the clutch housing by applying compressed air through the oil passage as shown.

INSPECTION
Accumulator Spring

1. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.








2. Measure the spring free length.
3. If not within specification, replace the spring.

ASSEMBLY





NOTICE: Installation order
- 2-3 accumulator: piston - spring - stop
- 1-2 accumulator: piston - spring - stop
- N-D accumulator: piston - spring - stop
- N-R accumulator: spring - piston - stop

NOTICE: Apply even pressure to the perimeter of the accumulator pistons and the stops to avoid damaging the O-ring and seal rings while installing.

1. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
2. Apply ATF to the new seal rings and install them onto the accumulator pistons.





3. Install the accumulator pistons and springs.
4. Install the stops and snap ring.
