Overhaul






DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: Disassemble in the order shown.

Front Wheel Hub Assembly





1. Remove the front wheel hub assembly with the SST (or equivalent).





NOTICE: If the bearings' inner race remains on the wheel hub, grind a section of the inner race until approximately 0.020 inch (0.5 mm) remains. Proceed to remove with a chisel.

Wheel Bearing





1. Remove the wheel bearing with K94A-500-FS1 (or equivalent).

Dust Shield

NOTICE:
- Do not remove the dust shield if not necessary.
- Do not reuse the dust shield if removed.





1. Mark the relative positions of the dust shield and knuckle for proper reassembly.





2. Remove the dust shield with a chisel.

Wheel Studs

NOTICE:
- Do not remove the wheel studs unless necessary.
- Do not reuse the wheel studs if removed.





1. Remove the wheel studs with a press.

INSPECTION
1. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.

ASSEMBLY

NOTE: Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Wheel Stud





1. Press in new wheel studs.

Dust shield





1. Mark the new dust shield to match the one removed.





2. Align the mark on the new dust shield with the knuckle.
3. Install the new dust shield with the SST (or equivalent).

Wheel Bearing





1. Install the new wheel bearing with K94A-5000-FS1 (or equivalent).

Front Wheel Hub Assembly





1. Install the front wheel hub assembly with K94A-5000-FS1 (or equivalent).

Oil Seal

NOTICE: Use a new oil seal, and apply grease to the seal. Install the oil seal so that it is flush with the knuckle.





1. Install the new oil seal with K94A-5000-FS2 (or equivalent).
