Front Suspension

Each front suspension consists of a MacPherson strut that pivots on a wishbone-type control arm. The upper end of each strut is suspended from the body's inner fender with a steering knuckle bolted to the lower end of the strut. The knuckle supports a hub and a brake caliper, and is connected to the control arm with a ball joint. The ball joint is retained to the knuckle with a pinch bolt, and to the control arm with bolts. The control arm is connected to the body with rubber bushings at its pivot points.

The front hubs and brake rotors are splined to the driveshafts. The driveshafts, in turn, are supported by roller bearing assemblies which are installed in the steering knuckles.

Body lean during turns is minimized by a stabilizer bar that interconnects the control arms on each side.
