Steering Wheel Play

1. With the wheels in the straight-ahead position, gently turn the steering wheel to the left and right to determine if play is within specification. Play is measured at the outer rim of the wheel.
Play: 1.18 inch (30 mm) maximum

NOTICE: If play exceeds specification, either the steering joints are worn or the backlash in the steering rack is excessive.
