Sephia A/C Suction Hose

This bulletin provides information related to a change to the Sephia Air Conditioner (A/C) suction hose and includes A/C suction hose/compressor manifold replacement procedures. 1997 Sephia models, beginning with VIN KNAFA1259V5277825 (production date 10/7/96), are equipped with a redesigned A/C suction hose and corresponding A/C compressor manifold.





The previous A/C suction hose design incorporated multiple bends and required a support bracket. In some instances, small cracks would develop in the metal section of the suction hose. To prevent further occurances of this condition, the A/C suction hose and A/C compressor manifold have been redesigned. When installed, the mounting surface for the suction hose is now located on top of the A/C compressor manifold instead of the side, eliminating the multiple bends and support bracket.

The redesigned A/C suction hose should be used to repair 1995.5 through 1997 Sephia models with production dates of 4/19/95 to 10/7/96 which require suction hose replacement.

SEPHIA A/C SUCTION HOSE/COMPRESSOR MANIFOLD:

Confirm that the vehicle has a production date of 4/19/95 to 10/7/96.

Confirm that the A/C system is leaking from the suction hose.

Review "Replacement Procedure" before attempting suction hose/compressor manifold replacement.

Inspect all replacement parts for damage prior to installation.
