Front Air Bag Sensor Removal
1. Remove the grill-to-radiator cover by pulling up on and removing the eight (8) trim clips.
2. Using a cross-tip screwdriver, remove the one (1) crosshead grill mounting screw.
3. Using a flat blade screwdriver, depress the locking tabs on the five (5) radiator grill tension clips, and remove the grill.
Left Front Air Bag Sensor
1. Remove three bolts and the left headlight assembly.
2. Remove two nuts and secure the fuse box out of the way.
3. Disconnect the air cleaner top and MAF sensor connector.
4. Remove three bolts and the air cleaner housing.
5. Remove one bolt and air cleaner fresh air duct.
6. Remove two bolts and coolant reservoir.
7. Disconnect the left front air bag sensor connector.
8. Remove three bolts and the sensor from the vehicle.
Right Front Air Bag Sensor
1. Remove three bolts and the right headlight assembly.
2. Remove two bolts and the windshield washer fluid reservoir.
3. Disconnect the right front air bag sensor connector.
4. Remove three bolts and the sensor from the vehicle.
Front Air Bag Sensor Installation
Left Front Air Bag Sensor
1. Place the left front air bag sensor in the vehicle and secure it with the three bolts.
Torque: 8-12 ft-lb (1-18 N.m)
2. Securely fasten the connector between the sensor and the wiring harness.
3. Reinstall the coolant reservoir with the two bolts.
4. Reinstall the air cleaner fresh air duct with one bolt.
5. Reinstall the air cleaner housing and secure it with three bolts.
6. Reinstall the air cleaner top and MAF sensor connector.
7. Reinstall the fuse box and secure it with two nuts.
8. Reinstall the headlight assembly and secure with three bolts.
Right Front Air Bag Sensor
1. Reinstall the right front air bag sensor and secure with three bolts.
Torque: 8-12 ft-lb (1-18 N.m)
2. Securely fasten the connector between the harness and sensor.
3. Reinstall the right headlight assembly and secure it with three bolts.
4. Reinstall the grill and secure it with five tension clips and one screw.
5. Reinstall the grill-to-radiator cover and secure it with eight trim clips.
