Wheel Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

FRONT
1. Lift and properly support the front of the vehicle.
2. From the backside of the wheel, closely inspect the sensor rotor. Rotate the wheel to examine all the teeth.
3. Replace the rotor if teeth are missing or damaged.





REAR
1. Lift and properly support the rear of the vehicle.
2. Remove the rotor.
3. Rotate the hub to examine all teeth on the rotor.
4. Replace the rotor and hub if teeth are missing or damaged. The rotor and hub are replaced as a unit. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
