Brake Rotor/Disc: Testing and Inspection
NOTE:- There must be no wheel bearing play.
- The measurement location is the outer edge of the rotor face.
1. Measure the thickness of the rotor at four or more places.
- Front (Min.) 18 mm (0.71 inches)
- Rear (Min.) 8 mm (0.32 inches)
2. Using a suitable dial indicator, measure the runout at the outer edge of the pad contact surface of the rotor.
- Runout: 0.1 mm (0.004 inches) maximum
NOTE: Excessive runout could be caused by a loose wheel hub bearing.
