ABS Component Quick Check

The following table is provided for reference and for those situations where an elaborate troubleshooting procedure is not necessary because the suspected cause of the problem was found during an initial inspection. This table may be used to provide an indication of the integrity of a component or its associated harness wiring, but should not be used to conclude whether the ABS-equipped vehicle is roadworthy.

NOTE:
- Integrity of electrical connections between components must be verified before replacement of an affected component. Failure to observe this may lead to unnecessary replacement of components and incorrect resolution of concerns. Replacement of unaffected components will not resolve a vehicle wiring concern.
- Perform the following measurements on the indicated pins of the anti-lock brake control unit harness connector C267. Measure with connector disconnected, making measurements on harness connector.





* Verify specified continuity between pin 1 and chassis ground or invalid results may be obtained. Results not matching specification indicate either a wiring or component concern. Further analysis is needed before any component is replaced.
