Front Seats

Removal and Installation





1. Remove components in the order shown in the figure.
2. Installation in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

Front seat





1. Remove the two front seat installation bolts (arrows).





2. Remove the two plastic covers and the front seat installation nuts (arrows).
3. Disconnect the electrical connector located under seat.
4. Remove the front seat.

Rear seat





1. Push the lock buttons as shown in the figure to release the cushion, then pull the seat cushion out.





2. Remove the installation bolts on the three rear seat hinge brackets (arrows).
3. Remove the rear seat backs.

Front seat reclining knuckle





1. Remove the reclining lever and seat side cover.





2. Remove the head rest.
3. Remove the seat back trim cover.
4. Lift the seat back trim until the knuckle retaining bolts are visible.





5. Remove the seat back trim screws.





6. Remove the reclining knuckle retaining bolts.





7. Remove the seat frame knuckle retaining screw.
8. Remove the reclining knuckle.

INSPECTION

Front seat





1. Check that the seat slider lever and recliner lever move smoothly.
2. Check the tightness of the seat mounting bolts. If necessary, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque:
28-38 if-lb (38-51 N.m)


3. Apply grease to the moving parts.
4. Check the seat adjuster lever for wear

Rear seat





1. Check the tightness of the seat installation bolts. If necessary tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque:
28-38 ft-lb (38-51 N.m)


2. Check the seat back strikers and for wear.

INSTALLATION

Front seat recliner knuckle
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torques:

Recliner knuckle bolts: 25-41 fl-lb (34-56 Nm) Reclining lever nut: 12-18 ft-lb (17-25 N.m)
