Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel.
2. Remove brake caliper assembly and rotor.

3. Position dial indicator against wheel hub. Push and pull wheel hub by hand in axial direction and measure wheel bearing play as shown in Fig. 1.
4. If bearing play exceeds specification, check and adjust locknut torque or replace wheel bearing if necessary.
