Front Stabilizer Bar

1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove front wheels.
2. Remove undercover.

3. Remove front stabilizer in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 10, noting the following:
a. Remove nuts of steering gearbox mounting bracket and move gearbox forward.
b. Support engine with engine support tool No. 0K201 170 AA0, or equivalent and remove crossmember mounting bolts.
c. Lower crossmember slowly and remove stabilizer bar from crossmember.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align bushing with installation position line painted on stabilizer bar.
b. Tighten stabilizer nut so 0.28-0.44 inch of thread is exposed at end of bolt.
c. Tighten to specifications.
